K-water NEWSLETTER water for the happier world Issue 118 K-water Monthly Magazine Effort Won’t Betray you Hangang River Regional Head Office Director Lim Seong-ho Integrated water management has recently emerged as a key water issue in Korea. It is a system allowing to manage national water resources by regions in terms of quantity and quality, water ecology and the environment, and so on, to maximize the synergy effects of water management. To implement the integrated water management, K-water established organizational systems for three major regions (Hangang River Regional Head Office; Geumgang, Yeongsangang and Seomjingang River Regional Head Office; and Nakdonggang River Regional Head Office) last year. The Hangang River Regional Head Office has entered its second year of region-based integrated water management. Discovering many inter-business convergence projects to prepare for the future and solve water problems, K-water has laid the foundation for new progress. One day in March in the middle of spring, we met with Director Lim Seong-ho of the Hangang River Regional Head Office in Gwacheon, Gyeonggi-do.
