Introduction

7th World Water Forum

World Water Forum is the biggest water event in the world which was first held in 1997 by World Water Council for interested parties in water to discuss on joint response to water problems all over the world.

Outline of event
Targets of participation : Major international organizations, governments, civilian experts, NGO, etc.
(participation of approximately more than 20,000 people)
Period of event : Period of event: For 1 week before and after World Water Day (March 22 every year) once
every three years (7th World Water Forum, from Apr. 12 ~ 17 2015, for 6 days)
Place of event: A city designated by 36 directorate organizations of World Water Council
Period of preparation: About 3 years (continuous regular meetings and progress reports during the preparation)
Programs
Thematic process : Defining and discussing water issues in the world by selecting thematic framework
Political process : Seeking solutions and urging action to water issues with chief and minister of states attending
Regional process : Exchanging information on current water issues in each continent and country and discussing solutions
Science & technology process : Discussing solutions to water issues in scientific and technical aspects and exchanging information
Fair & expo : Various programs which can attract interest and participation of citizen
