  • 2015 ~ 2018
    • Participating in the 7th World Water Forum (Daegu Korea, 2015.04.) and 8th World Water Forum (Brasilia Brazil, 2018.03.)
    • Participating in the 1st~3rd Korea International Water Week (2016~2018)
    • Participating in the 1st Asia International Water Week (2017.09.)
    • Establishing the UNESCO i-WSSM(International centre for Water Security and Sustainable Management) (2017.05.)
  • 2010 ~ 2014
    • Opening centrifugal model simulation center
    • Attracting UNESCO-IHP research education center (i-wssm) (approved by the general assembly)
    • Opening Test & Evaluation Center
    • Designating national reference standard water quality data
    • Participating in the 7th World Water Forum
      (managing processes of each area and publishing white paper)

  • 2008 ~ 2009

    • Being recognized as Korea's first internationally accredited national hydrograph correction institution
    • Changing the name to K-Water Institute (Jan. 2009)
    • Being recognized as an internationally accredited institution for small-caliber flowmeter correction system
    • International institute performing workmanship test (grand prize received as an excellent international test institute)

  • 2005 ~ 2007

    • Being recognized as the largest international flowmeter correction institution in Korea
    • Opening water supply and sewage research & education center and international flowmeter correction center
    • Being designated as an institute to test accuracy of environmental measurement equipments

  • 2001 ~ 2003

    • Being designated as an institute to test virus in tap water
    • Expanding and reorganizing into Water Resources Research Institute
    • Being recognized as the first national raingauge correction institution in Korea
    • Being designated as an internationally accredited test institute

  • 1992 ~ 1998

    • Being designated as a qualified institution for testing drinking water quality
    • Being designated as an agency for conducting evaluation of environmental effects
    • Having attached research institute recognized

  • 1967 ~ 1991

    • Starting test and research institute with the completion of construction
    • Changing name to Water Resources Research Institute
