As economic development and urbanization, people have enjoyed various conveniences that the city provides. At the same time, urban population have been more concentrated and urban issues have been occurred in various fields: water, environment, energy, transport, safety, culture. Republic of Korea(ROK) has more than 90% of the population in urban area, and has been suffered from many urban problems including the distortion of water cycle, water pollution. Thus, Korean government has tried to solve those urban issues by creating a smart water city, which uses different types of electronic data collection sensors to supply information which is used to manage assets and resources efficiently. This includes data collected from citizens, devices, and assets that is processed and analyzed to monitor and manage community services including water supply networks, waste management. A Smart Water City provide better living environment to people. |
