Due to rapid changes in the climate and water environment, the damage caused by the occurrence of harmful algal blooms and the resulting increase in water quality costs are increasing. The various management techniques have been applied to minimize the damages caused by the occurrence of harmful algal blooms in rivers and lakes. The efficiency of the water circulation device which applied in the lake were surveyed in this study. The convection type and diffused-air submerged aeration device were investigated in B. lake. Five field measurements including dissolved oxygen and eight water quality items including chlorophyll a were examined. The chlorophyll a were distributed over a wider concentration range after operation than before the water circulation. Also, the changes in water temperature and dissolved oxygen were observed, suggesting that the mixing of water with the operation of the water circulation system occurred. In conclusion, the water circulation system in the lake has a positive effect on the control harmful algal blooms. |
