Microfiltration often play as a pretreatment proess for following reverse osmosis membranes in an integrated membrane system. However, MF membranes cannot guarantee the rejection fo all bacteria and their carbon source(e.g., natural organic matter and assimilable organic carbon). Previous study also found that MF pretreatment did not change the microbial community between soure water and RO biofilm. |
