The ultrapure water is used for cleaning water such as semiconductor and LCD industries, and it is important to predict water quality. However, it is difficult to find cases of domestic and international studies on the prediction of the final water quality of ultrapure water.
Semiconductor grade ultrapure-fine water quality is D5127 E-1.3 in ASTM, which is the highest level of ultrapure water quality. When the target water quality is selected, a simulation is used to select the process, predict the final water quality, and compare it with the semiconductor water quality.
To verify the reliability of water quality forecasts, the plant operation results are to be compared. The design characteristics of individual processes and water quality data for each process were secured while operating the plant. The best process is selected by comparing the results predicted by simulation with the quality of the pilot plant.
This research should be used as a basis for the development of core technology for industrial water and process optimization.
