Due to the frequent occurrences of algal bloom and the increased incidence of toxic cyanobacteria in summer, the demand for reference materials for water quality testing, water treatment performance test are increasing rapidly. 

However, the reference materials of the toxin is totally dependent on the foreign imports. Some substances are in a trend of restricts between countries. Since 2015, this study has been performed with the development of a reference material production system using the devices we have to relieve supply and demand instability. This is also effective in terms of cost reduction and recycling of waste algae collected on site. In this study, the standard procedure (SOP) of the separation, purification and concentration process for the production of reference standard microcystin-LR, RR, YR, which is a representative toxin produced by cyanobacteria, was established. The statistical homogeneity and stability evaluation tests were performed as well.
