The ICOLD-APG Technical Report aims to share their own experiences and knowledge of floods, droughts, and roles of dams in Asia-Pacific area countries. In the report, a review of the major and extreme floods and droughts in Asia-Pacific area is carried out, and the main flood and drought indicators in those countries are described and analysed based on the well-known methods introduced by the researchers. Some examples of mitigation to reduce those risks are given as well. |
