This study tries to estimates water resource capital stock, which is the first attemption in Korea. Moreover, the relation between water resource capital stock and economic growth is analyzed by applying Koyck model. The quantitative analysis of the effects of WRD on economic development shows that WRD is more influential in the early stages of economic development. The influence of WRD in Korea’s economic development can provide the basis for an overseas market for water resources projects, especially in developing countries and least-developed countries. |
