As climate change is more seriously affecting safety of human life, understanding about potential impacts on infrastructures and eventually finding ways to make a society resilient to its effects are essential to all of us. Korea also focuses on establishing the nation’s strategies in aspects of law, institution and R&D, based on the consideration of climate change. The paradigm shift in safety management of water infrastructures is one of the representative examples showing an effort of climate change adaptation in Korea.
