The water project submitted by the Mongolian government, approved by the BoC. of AWS at the 1st GA, Bali, in March 2016. The title of WP is ‘Update and develop national water policy in line with SDGs, Paris declaration and long term development policy of Mongolia’.
The member of WEF SC shared their thought and idea regarding the methodology of water project implementation based on the background paper provided by Mongolian government. As an outcome of SC activity, a mission trip to Mongolia was carried out. 
The agenda of mission covered the kick-off workshop of WP, field visit for groundwater monitoring site and bi-lateral meeting with the water authority of Mongolia and Tull river basin authority. The mission led by chair and vice-chairs of WEF SC and was supported by the AWC secretariat. 
The Mongolian counterpart, Ministry of environment, green development and tourism of Mongolia, was very supportive on the mission and contributed on the kick-off workshop, field trip and expert consultation meeting. 
The output and outcome of Mongolian mission also presented at the 2nd BoC. of AWC, at 13 July, Singapore and also discussed at the special session in the afternoon.
The WEF SC hope to produce a concept paper containing renewal direction of Mongolian water policy reflecting the SDGs and Paris declaration and eventually contribute the prospective of Mongolia water sector.
