In the past, people regarded water as free goods. However, water has become an important 'asset' in present day requiring proactive management. It is inevitable for human being to rely on current technology due to inconvenience in lives. Eventually, the technology is highly required to maintain current level of welfare and to secure water resilience. This led to an assumption that Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) can be achieved through diverse applications of the technology. In this regard, the main object of the Smart Water Management (SWM) is to apply these techniques for effective water management. The SWM has specifically two main focuses to obtain successful and working proof-of-concept for establishing innovative techniques for water resilience as follows: a) supply appropriate water technologies according to country-specific depending on current national water and economic conditions, and b) suggest policy and institutional approaches to cooperate with stakeholders and enhance the applicability of implementation for SWM. Adoption of the SWM as growth strategy and engine to developing countries contributes to the realization of water sustainability and resilience.
