In general, before manufacturing of a large-size prototype turbine, a small scale model turbine is fabricated and the model testing is performed according to the model acceptance test standard of IEC 60193. For various model testing, a model turbine is designed to measure axial and radial thrust of a runner, axial torque of a wicket gate, pressure pulsation, and so on. In order to decide oil pressure of wicket gate ctuator and shear fin design value, axial torque of a wicket gate is measured in the model testing. Usually a strain gauge is attached on the axis of the wicket gate, and it should be installed in the model turbine after calibration of axial torque measurement. Therefore the calibration device for axial torque measurement of a wicket gate has been developed, and calibration test has been carried out for several torque loads. |
