This study was performed to optimize the operation of a sewage treatment plant (STP) in an expressway facility. The sewage discharge was predicted using sewage flow variations by season, holiday dates, and the moving population. An operating method was derived for the optimization of a small-scale STP. The estimate of the sewage discharge amount per capita was 15.3 L, and the equalization tank storage volume required during long-term holidays was 200 m3. |
