The 2015 United Nations Climate Change Conference, COP21 was held in Paris. One of the topic of this conference, a global agreement on the reduction of climate change, is the expansion of renewable energy to prevent global warming. With the growing worth of renewable energy, There is rising interest on the Sihwatidal power plant, the first tidal power plant in Korea and the biggest of the world. Sihwa tidal power plant select a single-rising tide type to prevent floods on the city around Sihwa lake. During the rising tide, the water flow from the yellow sea to Sihwa lake and stop the turbine before it reaches elevation level ?1.0 meter, is the internal management water level. This paper gives the optimal generation time on tidal power plant by analyzing the Sihwa lake level characteristics. |
