The 2-MIB and geosmin, which are representative water odor compounds, caused by algae in river water generally provide unpleasant flavor and decrease water quality in drinking water despite without risk for human health. In order to obtain data of these compounds concentration as the reference standard data in river water, Korea, we had monitored and investigated their concentration in aquatic samples taken from 13 water treatment plants (WTPs) for 8 months in this study. |
