Fates of organic compounds in drinking water treatment process are important to control byproducts, tastes, odors and PPCPs. Oxidation and adsorption is one of the most effective combined options for removing organics including PPCPs and natural organic matter (NOM). Structural break down or transformation have been reported through the ozone treatment. This study assessed fates of target PPCPs and NOM from full scale advanced oxidation process using high resolution MS and LC-OCD. Fates of unknown mass spectrum from full scan data in each process was compared with the software.
