The Francis turbine is the most commonly used a type of a reaction water turbine, and was designed for the 70kW small hydraulic turbine.As a result of deposition of dust, erosion, collision or pitting of particles, roughness grows over stator or rotor blade surfaces. The blade surface of turbine stage experiences significant performance degradation during operation.The efficiency of the small hydro Francis turbine has been predicted according to surface roughness size of the blade by CFD. |
