Intro
Recently, diverse studies are actively researched about geographical distribution of water mineral content because there is a growing interest in groundwater as potable resources and alternative water sources. But it’s difficult to grasp the distribution of groundwater mineral over the country as most researches are limited in small scale for local government.
This study was carried out to analyze mineral characteristics and contents of samples were collected in the national groundwater monitoring network; Korea in 2014. In addition, this constructed the GIS(Geographic Information System) based nationwide groundwater mineral map. On the basis of the results, this study found a correlativity between distribution of mineral contents in groundwater and regional geological property.

Conclusion
1)Groundwater from sedimentary rock was the highest mineral content. And the lowest was in porous volcanic rock, but some of minerals, Si, V, Rb, were detected evidently high concentration.
2)Mineral map presents regional tendency of each mineral distribution in groundwater and can be used to investigate a correlativity between mineral and geological features as base data.
3)The results can be used groundwater development planning to alternative scarce water sources and to satisfy mineral-rich healthy water.
