Climate change and water resources are highly correlated and aquatic ecosystem weakness will increase due to climate change by IPCC, Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. Actually, air temperature high intensity rainfall have been growing and will affect hydrodynamic and water qualities in river and reservoir. So, it is necessary to predict and assess the vulnerability of aquatic ecosystem variables such as water temperature, dissolved oxygen and nutrients due to climate change. In this study, a modelling method was approached to forecast and analyse the effects of climate change on river water qualities of Yongdam dam reservoir watershed in South Korea. In Yongdam dam watershed, streamflow and water qualities of BOD, T-N, T-P were predicted due to climate change of IPCC AR5 scenarios. Dam inflow were predicted to increase in summer, BOD of main river were predicted to increase in winter and spring. And T-N of main river were predicted to increase in spring, T-P of main river were predicted to increase in spring and summer. These results can be applied to reservoir model to predict hydrodynamic and water qualities in Yongdam reservoir. |
