Renewable energy sources are rapidly disseminated to solve environmental concerns and to retain sustainable energy sources.
nowaday, It is take into account that to install the huge floating photovoltaic system by main technology development of floating photovoltaic system is completed.
The structure of floating photovoltaic system is consisted by photovoltaic system, floating system, Mooring system, and underwater cable. Floating system allows the installation of Photovoltaic module on the water. It is consisted by structure and floater. Mooring system used for maintaining position of floating photovoltaic system. Underwater Cable used to transfer the generated power from floating photovoltaic system to inverter system in the land.
For underwater cable, It can be grounded by natural disaster, electric breakdown of cable system, collision between the cable and ships like a fishing boat. If DC cable grounded then it can disturb ecosystem near fault location and electric corrosion also can occurs near facility from fault location.
This paper study of optimum method to detect the fault in underwater cable system using PSCAD/EMTDC.
