Many talk about water industry. No one knows, however, its definition and scope exactly because different water-related experts, institutes and agencies have different definitions and scopes. It may depend mostly on their strength and interest on it. More interestingly, water industry has very wide ranges, including water resources planning, water supply & sewerage, water reuse, alternative water resources, waterfront development, IWRM and so on. Also, it is much related to different infrastructures. Many contend that water industry is “Blue Gold” of the 21st century when considered its potential. Here, we need to take a look at the expanding global water market, explore the background of it growth, and consider ‘Smart Water Management,’ the hottest issue in water management sectors in Korea. |
