aw water such as river water and lake water has a lot of water thermal energy to use for cooling and heating. Several heat pump systems using raw water have been installed in a water treatment facility and a dam building where plenty of raw water is available. Most systems consists of a water-to-air heat pump and raw water supply pumping system simply, in while a water-to-water systems composed of a heat pump, buffer tank, and various pumping systems for raw water, brine, and chilled water, is relatively complicated. In the study, various calibrated measuring instruments of RTD sensors, flowmeters, power meters have been installed in order to assess the performance of the system, and the measuring data for various operating conditions have been analyzed to estimate its energy saving potential. |
