In order to monitor the sites efficiently, it is helpful to rapidly and inexpensively identify bio-contaminated water. One technique that shows promise to assess a water’s contamination level is Hyper Spectral Imaging. In this research, most of the algae group were separated using pre-classification. Finally, totally 37 genus were identified in this study: Chlorophyceae: 15 (eg. Actinastrum, Eudorina), Bacillariophyceae: 13 (eg. Aulacoseira, Stephanodiscus), Cyanophyceae: 4 (eg. Microcystis, Oscillatoria), Others: 5(Cryptomonas, Rhodomonas). The HSI is based on hyperspectral imaging technology that provides high resolution; higher accuracy; high sensitivity. The image illustrates the H.S.I remote sensing missions, enabling the detection of algae growth in a specific location in a river at a very early stage. |
