The aim of this study is to obtain pure 2-MIB and geosmin, which are representative odor compounds, from natural algae. We primary tested possibility about separating and collecting of odorus in aqueous samples by TDU-GC/MS-PFC as a case study. The separation of them with commercial standard spiked at 1 μg/mL in water sample carried out using TDU-GC/MS-PFC. Using SBSE (stir bar sorptive extraction) could be obtained enough recovery with large volume injection about 100 ng over. However, the recovery in water sample ranged less than 20%. The yield amounts of odor compounds were different depending on temperature of PFC’s collector. Finally we achieved 30 ng/ mL geosmin with repeating 5 times by TDU-GC/MS-PFC in this study. It was not required purification step because PFC could be controlled by 0.01 second unit. In order to improve the recovery, it is need more investigation continuously with arranging some conditions |
