Membrane filtration process is operated by repeat of membrane fouling and cleaning. Therefore prediction of membrane fouling and cleaning is very important in membrane filtration process. Membrane fouling index is used commercially for evaluation of membrane fouling. However there is not a method to evaluate membrane cleaning. And it is impossible to evaluate cleaning degree objectively by various kinds of chemicals. Therefore in this study, the membrane cleaning index was developed and evaluated for evaluation of cleaning performance by chemical. |
