This paper presents the prediction model for the autogenous expansion of MgO concrete with
different water-binder ratios and curing temperatures. Test results showed that MgO concrete
exhibited relatively large expansion compared to normal concrete and water-binder ratio of
concrete merely influenced the autogenous expansion of MgO concrete. The expansion of MgO
concrete occurred quickly at early age, when it cured at high temperature, and the higher curing
temperature, the greater the autogenous expansion. By analyzing the test results, a prediction
model for the autogenous expansion of MgO concrete was proposed. This prediction model
would be effectively used to estimate the autogenous expansion of MgO concrete.
