All samples taken from four river, Hangang, Geumgang, Seomjingang and Nackdonggang, Korea, were analysed on a Fox 4000 Electronic Nose included 18 MOS (Metal oxide semiconductor) sensors equipped with an headspace autosampler. All the data has been analysed with the Alpha MOS software. Principal Component Analysis (PCA) and Discrimination Factor Analysis (DFA) were used for data distribution and identification. The concentration of 2-MIB and Geosmin in water could be detected less than at 10 ng/L, which is threshold value of them, using an electronic nose. Successfully discrimination of river water component has been obtained on each river in this study. |
