Decentered water supply system (DWSS) can provide a sustained water supply and prevent water pollution by obtaining multi-defense system. However, comparing to the centralized water supply system, there are many purification plants distributed in DWSS. Therefore, it is highly required to be supported by an integrated operation and management system (IOMS) based on IT technology. In this study, we research on architecture design and implementation methodology of energy economizing IOMS optimized for DWSS, specifically, wireless remote monitoring & control system, lifecycle cost (LCC) analysis system for distributed facilities, intelligent energy management system for DWSS’s energy independence, emergency system for appropriate maneuver in an emergency, and field operator collaboration system based on social network and mobile device push technology. In order to verify the successful operation of our system, we apply IOMS into DWSS built in Chung-Ju water purification plant in Korea. This research is supported by a grant (CTI C-01) from Advanced Water Management Research Program funded by Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport of Korean government. |
