Grounding, an action to plug electrical terminal(grounding electrode) to land, is
a measure to acquire safe operation for people or among electric device,
electronic device or telecommunication instruments by minimizing the
difference of potential between the site and the ground. Usually on land,
grounding is composed by classifying into equipment grounding, power
grounding and lightning grounding, but in water environment, safe installation
of floating photovoltaic grounding resistance is difficult due to hardship of
general grounding. The methods of floating photovoltaic grounding, methods to
design the grounding as common ground system, include grounding using
shield ground wire and grounding with added ground wire. However, these
methods have the problem of inferior economy due to increase in construction
cost like additional installation of ground wire among land and water. Therefore,
in this paper, the cases of ground installation for floating photovoltaic system
are introduced, and optimal method of grounding is proposed.
