As a result, depending on the manufacturer and manufactured time, chlorate ion concentration in the treated waters was very heterogeneous owing to the lack of specification for this contaminant in the disinfectant reagents. It is recommended that bulk hypochlorite solutions store below 15℃ and 30 days assuming hypochlorite dose 20 mg/L(ppm) and chlorate is regulated in drinking water at a maximum contaminant level of 0.5 mg/L. If the hypochlorite dose below 5 mg/L(ppm), it is recommended that bulk hypochlorite solutions store below 25℃ and 30 days. |
