The importance of non-point source management for systematic water quality management is increasing, we can find many recent cases in Korea and other advanced nations where the target water quality cannot be achieved without managing non-point sources according to various land uses. Therefore, active studies on water quality improvement are being conducted in various watersheds through the analysis of runoff characteristics of non-point pollutants according to the land uses in each watershed and rainfall event characteristics. The Lake Sihwa watershed is divided into industrial areas including the Sihwa and Banwol Industrial Complex in Ansan and rural area around Hwaseong. This study analyzed the runoff characteristics of non-point sources during rainfall at three sites according to the land uses of the Lake Sihwa watershed areas: Banwol Outfall No.4(4TG), representing the industrial area; and Musan Stream (MS), representing the urban area. |
