In the field of water, Smart Water Grid (hereafter SWG) is rapidly required
to achieve a stable water supply and the minimization of wasting water.
However, unlike smart grid of electricity and gas, water meter is installed
under the ground and it causes the problem of power supply and data
transmission. In this study, it takes fully advantage of the analog meter by
using L/C sensor in water meter counter and a variety of wireless
communication methods are developed to find optimal transmission even in the
tough condition. Wireless communication system was examined according to
specific frequency environmental conditions to optimize the pipeline network
operation and management.
