Manganese is regulated as a maximum drinking water contaminant based on aesthetic concerns. Under this classification, the Korea regulates maximum contaminant level(MCL) of 0.05 mg/L. K-water suggests that a guideline level of <0.02 mg/L is necessary to control Mn-related aesthetic problems and deposition in water distribution systems[1]. |
