Smart water grid is a new concept for total water management and will be a good alternative to the current water management systems as water and energy sources will be limited soon. In smart water grid, decentralized water distribution system with the smaller WTP's and water distribution tanks is more suitable than the conventional centralized system. Because of limitation in the smaller sizes of water distribution tanks in decentralized water distribution system, controlling the production rate ofWTP will be a key technology to meet variable water demand for smart water grid. Membrane process can be a potent option of water treatment system for smart water grid because product water quality is not significantly changed with the fluctuation in water production rate. However, membrane fouling may be affected by the fluctuation. A full-scale simulation for |
