Water temperature difference energy has been used for heating and cooling resources with heat pumps. Various water resources, such as raw water, lake water, river water, riverbank filtration water, and sewage, are good renewable heat resources. Among these, raw water, that is taken from a reservoir or a river and supplied to a water treatment facility through large size piping system, is one of the promising heat sources because the piping system is buried in shallow ground in downtown where there is a huge demand for air-conditioning. In the study, a raw-water source heat pump system has been installed with a thermal storage tank in the water treatment facility, and the system has been operated in the varied raw water temperature which is dropped under 5 degree in winter. The performance data in summer and winter has been analyzed for various operating conditions. |
