Terrorism by pesticides is actual emerging issue in water environment. There are reported and not reported accidents by pesticides terrorism to human and wildlife. April, newspapers reported that pesticide containers were found in small scale drinking water facility. Lately, juvenile fish were found dead in the river nearby dam etc. These cases need very fast identification. DART-HR full scan Orbitrap was attempted to fast and accurate identification. Using this system, random test for main used pesticides presented 30 seconds analysis without sample prep and presented accurate identification below 3ppm. Step by step sensitivity test using spiked water showed 1 μg/L detection without further concentration. 
One of critical issues in mass spectrometry is use of high resolution full scanning data. Actually due to the uncertainty of critical compounds from the sample, full scan data is more effective than target scan data. Additionally, online sample preconcentration or direct ionization technique with HR mass spec presented powerful results in terms of time and cost saving. Lately, combination of online SPE or DART-Orbitrap MS was applied to water contamination events by pesticides. Fast identification with no-sample preparation was successfully performed in water sample and fish tissue. In this conference, we will present current applications to water contamination cases by algal toxins and pesticides.
