LC-OCD(Liquid Chromatography-Organic Carbon Detection) which consist of SEC(Size Exclusion Chromatography) of direct injection mode and high-sensitive organic carbon detector was used to find out the origins and the characteristics of NOM for 4 wetlands(U-po, Saji-po, Mok-po, Jjokjibeol) which are closely located at the same area. The yearly TOC values of 4 wetlands were in the range of from 1.3 to 7.4 ㎎/L(Mok-po, 5.55 mg/L > Jjokjibeol, 5.27 mg/L > Saji-po, 4.48 mg/L > U-po, 3.79 mg/L) from October 2011 to July 2012. From yearly data of TOC it was studied that TOC was increased in June and July; it is closely related to the seasonal intensive rainfalls and decreased the TOC value in February. CDOC(Chromatographic DOC) could be classified by its molecular weight as polysaccharides, humic substances, building blocks, neutrals, and small acids using LC-OCD. |
