＊In Korea freshwater and river ecosystem serves important function for water resources, conservation and recreation. This natural resources need special attention due to increased land-use pressure, modification, climate change, etc.
＊During the Congress Nature+ becomes a theme and our event can deal with important natural resources such as water and freshwater conservation
＊Wetlands also provide us water resources and ecosystem service and the event will encourage water ecosystem conservation and wise use of wetlands for stackholders and participants.
＊The KWS is an organization that first accepted as an academic society in Korea by IUCN and we are interested in dealing with issues such as water resources, climate change, pollution, land-use, introduced species that can be a threat to wetland conservation
＊Thus, the event can serve a great opportunity for introducing various types of wetlands in Korea and wetland endangered species so that freshwater as a part of Nature+ can be a unique natural heritage in Korea as well as in the world.
