Raw water source is one of the promising heat sources along with ground water, lake, river and sewage water. Generally, the water is taken from the environment and supplied to a water treatment facility through large sized pipes for the subsequent treatment or purification. This un-treated water is called as raw water. In this study, heating and cooling performance of the heat pump which is utilizing the heat energy of the supplied raw water to the site of the water treatment facility. The facility is located at Chung-ju Chungbuk province. Two heat pumps having the heating capacity of 65.2kW was installed in the site for the heating and cooling of the central control room. The brazed plate heat exchanger was used for obtaining heat energy from the raw water. The raw water is supplied through the pipe whose diameter of 75 mm with volume flow rate of 190 l/min. |
