Shallow water withdrawal systems have been replaced with a selected withdrawal system to keep stable raw water quality in spite of occurrence of algae and muddy inflow especially in summer and early fall. In the study, we have predicted inflow patterns around the water intake tower in Yongdam dam which supply water to Gosan water treatment facility before reconstruction. To prevent entering algae, muddy flow, and sediment of dam reservoir, CFD has been carried out with various withdrawal conditions for withdrawal depth and vertical length of the algal fence. |
