The unsteady aerodynamic characteristics behind the fighter speed brake influences the structural integrity of the neighboring structure. To investigate the oscillatory characteristics of the neighboring structure, 2D compressible unsteady flow simulations are carried out using the commercial software of Fluent. The predicted periodic lifting forces are used for the input values of the external forces of the neighboring structure. Static stress distribution and the first ten normal modes are calculated to find the stress concentration area and the natural frequencies. |
