The vascular plants observed in the area were composed of a total of 219 taxa; 72 families, 151 genus, 194 species, 22 varieties, and 3 forms. The indigenous species growing in the area were six species like Carex kobomugi Ohwi, Carpinus coreana Nakai, Celtis choseniana, Lespedeza maximowiczii, Vicia hirticalycina and Weigela subsessilis L. H. Bailey, which accounted for 3.1% of the total vascular plants in Geumosan, 219 taxa. Specialized plants found in the study were 22 taxa in Grade I, 1 taxon in Grade II, 4 taxa in Grade III, and 1 taxon in Grade IV. With the overdeveloped Hanilam(Temple) area, tourists and visitors unknowing spread many naturalized plants to the island. Thus, the measures are imperative. Currently, mountain walks are destroyed in many areas, which affects the growth of plants. Continued onitoring and conservation measures are urgently needed. |
