Water qualities and inflow discharge of multipurpose dam area in 4 major river basins in korea(Han, Nakdong, Guem, and SumjinㆍYoungsan river) have been surveyed during 2005 to 2008 and analization have been performed to examine the relationships between quantity and quality of water in pre-monsoon, monsoon, and post-monsoon period. From the data of the Han river basin, dissolved nitrogen and phosphorus increased at several areas during the survey and Total Nitrogen(TN) in Panun increased 2,208.8ug/L and Total phosphorus(TP) in Wontong increased 270.2ug/L. At Nakdong river basin, TN and TP increased before 2007 and start decreasing nutrient factors after. Water quality in Guem river basin varied with the year and it was show a tendency to decrease. Water quality in Sumjin river basin varied with the year. but range of variations were not large. Youngsan river basin, Biological Oxygen Demand(BOD), Chemical Oxygen Demand(COD), TN increased in 2008 when compared with 2005, but TP decreased. Water pollution lever of each river basin have been compared pre-monsoon period with monsoon period and post-monsoon period. Vertical distribution of factors led the water quality of pre-monsoon period and had a bigger effect than horizontal distribution which indicates that the local condition of the each area is superior in effects to inflow discharge. Closely distributed environmental factors in pre-monsoon period extended to horizontal distribution of covariance from monsoon and post-monsoon period showed various characteristics. Pollution load after the monsoon period had a massive effect in Han river basin. Concentration increased at monsoon period, Turbidity 0.0~1.6times, SS 0.0~1.6times, Conductivity 0.0~1.2times, TP 0.0~1.6times and concentration at post-monsoon period increased 0.0~9.2times, 0.4~21.2times, 0.2~1.7times, 7.0~25.9times as against pre-monsoon period in Han river basin. At Nakdong river basin, most of the environmental factors except Conductivity and TP increased in post-monsoon period. Concentration increased at monsoon period, Turbidity 0.0~1.3times, SS 0.0~18.6times, Conductivity 0.0~1.3times, TN 1.1~1.3times, TP 0.9~1.8times and concentration at post-monsoon period increased 0.0~6.0times, 0.8~83.3times, 0.4~0.9times, 1.3~2.1times, 1.2~1.3times as against pre-monsoon period. At Guem river basin, concentration increased at monsoon period Turbidity 0.0~6.3times, SS 0.0~5.3times, Conductivity 0.0~1.6times, TP 0.0~1.6times and concentration at post-monsoon period decreased at narrow range as against pre-monsoon period. At SumjinㆍYoungsan river basins, water pollution level at monsoon period was higher than post-monsoon period. Concentration increased at monsoon period, Turbidity 2.5~9.6times, SS 1.1~8.2times, Conductivity 0.9~54.0times, TN 0.6~2.0times, TP 0.9~3.0times and concentration at post-monsoon period increased 0.7~2.7times, 0.6~11.8times, 1.3~1.5times, 0.4~0.7times, 0.8times as against pre-monsoon period. SS and Turbidity difference between pre-monsoon period and post-monsoon period were 7.1 mg/L, -0.3NTU shows that the turbidity at post-monsoon period was lower than pre-monsoon period. |
