This study attempted rapid ecosystem assessment in strategic environmental assessment using biomass (chlorophyll-a) of microalgae community such as phytoplankton and periphyton. Usually, phytoplankton and periphyton have used much by an ecological assessment tool because was shown susceptibility in environmental change in aquatic ecosystem. But, they were used to elucidate community and species composition and time and effort were required very much in biological analysis. Applied rapid evaluation method to use biomass to supplement this problems. As a result, reflected well the condition of integrated aquatic environments, and this method is expected to can be used from strategic environmental assessment to useful device.
