Development and Implementation of Total Water Management System(TWMS)
Botswana faces significant challenges in securing both the quantity and quality of its water resources due to extremely low and irregular rainfall, coupled with urbanization and increasing water demand.
Under a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Government of Botswana and K-water, a project is underway to address Botswana's water challenges. By leveraging K-water's comprehensive water management experience and super-gap technological systems, the project aims to establish a foundation for efficient water resource management in Botswana.
The project focuses on building a system that monitors real-time hydrological data, transmits it to a centralized water management center, and supports water management decision-making (e.g., drought, flood) through monitoring and analysis.
