This study investigates the feasibility of a performance efficiency measurement by using weighted averages from temperature bin hours to calculate the integrated coefficient of performance (ICOP) for data center cooling systems in South Korea. Focusing on an air source vapor compression cooling system optimized for various seasonal conditions, the study compares the ICOPs calculated from South Korean climate-specific weighted averages against standard references. Results indicated ICOP improvements of 3.04 %, 3.69 %, and 5.28 % for cooling system products A, B, and C, respectively, when using South Korean averages, highlighting the benefit of regional adaptation for enhanced performance evaluation. Additionally, a hybrid water source cooling system was analyzed using dam temperature data from multiple South Korean regions, yielding an ICOP of 8.79, with the northern region’s ICOP surpassing the national average by 4.89 %. These findings underscore the impact of geographical and
climatic variations on cooling efficiency. This research advances the field by providing a model for regional performance rating metrics tailored to local conditions, ensuring optimized, sustainable
operation of data center cooling systems in diverse environmental contexts.
