This research emphasizes the importance of real-time monitoring and analysis using satellite technology to address the increasing water-related disasters caused by climate change. Through EO and SAR satellite technologies, it proposes effective ways to monitor disasters such as floods and droughts and assess the damage for better response strategies. Specific disaster cases include the 2023 flooding in Chungcheong, the flooding in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and the cyclone disaster in Derna, Libya. It also highlights the necessity of dam monitoring through the cases of North Korea's Hwanggang Dam and Ukraine's Kahouka Dam |
