Smart Water Management Project in Aparri Cagayan, Philippines
The Smart Water Management Pilot Project in Aparri is a joint initiative between South Korea and the Philippines to enhance urban water management using digital technologies. Aparri, a coastal town in the Cagayan province, faces water supply challenges due to seasonal variations and increasing demand. This project aims to improve water distribution efficiency and ensure a stable supply through smart monitoring and management solutions.
These technologies will help optimize water distribution, minimize non-revenue water (NRW) losses, and enhance operational efficiency. Additionally, data-driven insights will support better decision-making for future water resource planning.
This pilot project is expected to serve as a model for smart water management in the Philippines. Its success in Aparri could lead to broader adoption in other cities, contributing to national water security and sustainable urban development while strengthening cooperation between the Philippines and South Korea.
